Counseling

Consultation

Individual and group counseling is available for children, adolescents, and families. Clients will have the opportunity to explore life patterns and strengthen their ability to meet life's challenges through the art making process. My work focuses on the strengths that make each of us unique. These strengths ultimately serve as a guide to assist others in achieving their maximum wellness potential.

Counseling services are grounded in Adlerian based theory and tailored to meet the needs of the individual. Individuals will have the opportunity to explore life patterns and strengthen their ability to meet life's challenges through the art making process.  This creative modality provides a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for clients.

I specialize in school misbehavior, anxiety, depression, ADHD, positive parenting, PBIS, and team building to name a few.  All my work is done through a multicultural lens and provides respect and inclusion for culture, ethnicity, and religion.

Supervision

Supervision is available to new practitioners and students obtaining their ATR in art therapy or their license as a professional counselor (LPC). Supervision is rooted in an Adlerian-based supervision model to help supervisee's:

  • Explore their lifestyle and what they bring into the counseling relationship
  • Take risks & try new things
  • Learn Adlerian techniques
  • Learn the reflective process
  • Grow and develop as clinicians
  • Learn to have the courage to be imperfect
  • Learn the power of encouragement

Consultation services are available to community churches, businesses, and schools. Based on the Adlerian consultation method, anyone working with children and/or adolescents can benefit from this practical problem solving process that has been proven to be effective in schools across the nation. Learn strategies to recognize:
  • Lifestyle patterns
  • The Four Goals of Misbehavior
  • Social Meaning of Behavior
  • How One Strives for Success
  • The Potential in Others
